Locketpad is a FREE, offline-first encrypted notepad for Windows 10 and 11.
System requirements are minimal:
It runs on virtually any modern Windows computer with at least 4 GB RAM and 100 MB free disk space.
Download the latest installer below. Older versions are available for reference.
About the security warnings you may see:
• Chrome or Edge may perform a quick safety scan (30–60 seconds). Please wait, then click Keep or Keep anyway.
• When running the installer, Windows SmartScreen may display “Unknown Publisher” or “Windows protected your PC.” This happens because the installer is not yet code-signed with a paid certificate.
Locketpad is completely free with no ads or monetization, so I’m not earning any revenue from it. Code-signing certificates cost hundreds of dollars per year, which isn’t feasible right now for a free tool. I may invest in signing in the future if the project grows and justifies the cost.
These warnings are standard for new or small independent apps and will decrease over time as more users safely download and run Locketpad.
